Social Action
Each year at our Fair of Giving to The Community* - BJC students
have the opportunity to learn about different charitable
organizations, and help direct how tzedakah funds collected
during the school year will be distributed. The following charities were presented
this year:
*-why don't we just call it our "Tzedakah Fair?" Although "tzedakah"
has come to mean charitable giving, its meaning is more
expansive--(doing) righteous acts--of which giving to help the
needy is but one part. |

(SeekPeace was a project of the Union for Reform Judaism to
promote peace efforts and social justice causes in Israel.
Funded by a 3-year grant from the Ford Foundation, the project
